Police: Driver Who Hit Bicyclist Charged With DUI
Lexington Police said a driver who hit a man on a bicycle was charged with Driving Under the Influence.
The cyclist, whose name wasn’t released, was in critical condition, according to Police.
The cyclist was rushed to U.K. Hospital.
Investigators said the driver and cyclist were both headed in the same direction on North Broadway on Wednesday around 5:15 p.m.
Police said the man on the bike was in the bike lane when the driver of the car tried to turn right and hit the cyclist.
The driver’s name was not released.
