As we enter the busy holiday season the Lexington Police Department is asking to drivers and pedestrians to be safe. They are calling the campaign “Drive with care and walk aware”.
With only a few days until Christmas, traffic is getting heavier at local grocery stores, shopping malls, and surrounding areas.
The Lexington Police have ways for you to stay safe, officers have listed the Top 8 Bad Behaviors for you to avoid that can lead to pedestrian-involved crashes.
1.Speeding (Driving too fast in a parking lot)
2.Aggressive driving
3.Distracted Walking/Distracted Driving
4.Running red traffic lights
5.Driving under the influence (DUI)
6.Not yielding to pedestrians
7.Walking without looking
