Two arrested after I-75 chase in Scott County leads to drug seizure
SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Two people are facing drug charges after a police chase involving a rental vehicle on Interstate 75 in Scott County.
According to police, the chase began Monday on southbound I-75 in Georgetown when officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Investigators say the driver sped off instead of pulling over, leading officers on a pursuit.
During the chase, officers reported seeing the driver toss suspected drugs out of the vehicle’s window.
Police say the pursuit ended a short time later, and a search led to the discovery of a pill press, suspected cocaine, and more than $10,000 in cash.
The identities of the suspects and the exact charges have not yet been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
