Police: Burglary suspect found under crawl space

MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Morehead say they found the suspect they were looking for by looking under a crawl space.

They say their search for burglary suspect Bryan Smith took them to a home on Dry Creek in Clearfield.

Police say Smith was hiding in a crawl space underneath the house.

Officers were in a brief stand-off with Smith, but say, after a short time, Smith came out from under the crawl space and was arrested.

Police say he is charged with burglary in connection to thefts from Bypass Pawn and Save-A-Lot.
