Police asking for help in identifying man accused of breaking into gas station
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Lexington Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who they say broke into the Marathon on Bryan Station Road.
Police say that on June 25, 2018,they responded to the Marathon gas station at 1840 Bryan Station Road in reference to an alarm. Upon arrival officers discovered a window had been shattered near the register. Surveillance video revealed that an unknown man used a large rock to break the window. He climbed inside, grabbed rolled coins and cartons of cigarettes before fleeing out the same window.
The suspect is a white man with thinning hair, wearing black and red shoes. Investigators released the surveillance video Tuesday in an effort to generate new leads in the case.
