Police ask for public’s help identifying suspected car thief

GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Grant County are asking for the public’s help identifying a man in connection to a stolen car case from Saturday night.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office says a blue 1998 Toyota Corolla was stolen around 6:30 p.m. from Bruce’s Grocery and Restaurant in Mason County.

Deputies say the car has a tan hood and several Grant County football and Trump stickers on the back.

The license plate number is:  188 AAE

Deputies say the stolen vehicle was last seen headed north on U.S. 25 toward Williamstown.

Surveillance camera images show the suspect to be a man with scruffy facial hair who was wearing a camouflage hat and baggy coat.
