Police arrest dozens in “shoplifting blitz”
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – 35 people were arrested after a shoplifting investigation by Lexington Police.
Lexington Police say the arrests happened between June 10th and June 12th through a partnership with the Kentucky Organized Retail Crime Association.
The “Shoplifting Blitz” focused on retail stores in the Hamburg area and the Richmond Road corridor.
According to Lexington Police, $6,850.07 in stolen property such as power tools, cookware, clothing and pet food were recovered.
