Pletcher preparing to adjust Preakness prep strategy
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 142nd running of the Preakness Stakes is almost here.
The third Saturday in May now just as important as the first Saturday of the month for Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming.
Trainer Todd Pletcher took his horse to the sloppy track at Pimlico Friday to get in a good two mile work and gallop with exercise rider Nick Bush aboard.
As much as Pletcher would like to set a training course and strategy in stone moving into Preakness week, he knows being flexible is best, especially when it comes to the Triple Crown.
Hear from Pletcher in the video.
