PRP knocks off Simon Kenton to become state baseball champs

LEXINGTON, Ky (WTVQ) – After winning their respective games on Friday, today the Pleasure Ridge Park Panthers squared off against the Simon Kenton Pioneers.  PRP jumped out to an early lead, but Simon Kenton would come roaring back in the bottom of the seventh inning.

Down by four going into the final inning, the Pioneers would rally back to draw within one run.  Unfortunately for them, that’s as close as they would get.  PRP would go on to win 6-5. Pleasure Ridge Park High School is the 2017 KHSAA State Baseball champions.
