Plea deal in fatal 2013 Scott Co. crash

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Lexington woman has taken a plea deal for a 2013 crash in Scott Co. that killed a man.

The Lexington Herald-Leader says prosecutors had charged Carolyn Bruenig with manslaughter and driving under the influence, but instead she pleaded guilty Monday to reckless homicide and DUI, with prosecutors now recommending 25 months in prison.

Sentencing is planned for November 2.  Seth Gibson died in that crash.  The Herald-Leader says he was a passenger in a car driven by Bruenig that hit a tree.
