Plane headed to Lexington crashes in Georgia
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Plane, headed to Lexington, crashes in Georgia
Officials are reporting that a plane that crashed this morning in Georgia was on its way to Lexington.
The Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport says an airplane was departing from Savannah airport when it crashed next to the airport taxiway. When the fire department arrived, they say the plane was resting in a ditch off the side of the runway.
Officials say two people were on board and both were taken to a local hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating and the NTSB will determine probable cause.
