Pike County rescued flood dogs up for adoption in Chicago

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – More than a dozen dogs displaced by the devastating flooding in Pike County have been rescued and relocated to a shelter in Chicago, according to officials.

A total of 21 dogs were evacuated from the floodwaters and transported through a partnership between the Anti-Cruelty organization and the BISSELL Pet Foundation. Officials say the dogs arrived at the Chicago shelter Wednesday and are now available for adoption.

Rescue organizations continue to work in flood-affected areas, ensuring displaced pets find safe homes as communities recover from the disaster.
