Long lines to buy commemorative ‘Justify’ Maker’s Mark bottle

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – On Friday people stood in long lines to get the Maker’s Mark Commemorative Bottle that is honoring 2018 Triple Crown Winner Justify.

Officials say the Triple Crown remains one of the most sought-after and elusive achievements in thoroughbred racing, yet one that Justify accomplished in 2018 by overcoming stiff competition and challenging weather conditions to win the Kentucky Derby®, the Preakness Stakes® and the Belmont Stakes®.

As Justify takes his place among the greatest racehorses of all time, Maker’s Mark is excited to celebrate his accomplishments with the release of a limited-edition commemorative Maker’s Mark bottle that not only pays tribute to Justify’s stunning run, but also supports charitable causes.

The suggested retail price for this collectible 1-liter bottle, which is emblazoned in colors of Justify’s green, white and black jockey silks worn in the Kentucky Derby® by Mike Smith, is $59.99.
