Pedestrian suffers head injury in hit-and-run in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are looking for the driver of a red passenger car they say hit a female pedestrian and drove off on Monday night.
Investigators say it happened in a construction zone on Georgetown Street at Lima Drive just before 9:00 p.m.
Police say the woman appeared to have suffered a severe head injury, but was talking on her way to the hospital. Her name was not released.
Witnesses told police after the woman was hit by the red car, she was hit by a second passing car, but investigators say they couldn’t confirm that account and no description was given of a second vehicle.
