Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car Thursday night.

According to Lexington police, the man ran across Georgetown Road near Lisle Road and was hit.

Police say the man was wearing dark clothing, was not in a crosswalk and was possibly intoxicated.

He was taken to Georgetown Hospital.

Police say no charges are expected to be filed against the driver.
