Pedestrian hit on HWY 1016 in Madison County, say deputies

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A 60-year-old Berea woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a truck, while walking on Highway 1016 in Madison County Wednesday (4/10) evening.

According to the Sheriff’s Office Fonda Crowe was taken to the UK Hospital with life-threatening injuries, after she was hit by a truck driven by Marlin Laws, also of Berea.

The Sheriff’s Office says it happened around 5:00 p.m.

The driver of the truck, Laws, was not injured.

It’s not clear what led up to the collision, but, the Madison County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) is investigating.

No word on Crowe’s condition at this time.
