Juvenile pedestrian hit on Harrodsburg Road, inbound lane blocked

UPDATE: Lexington police say the pedestrian is a juvenile. Police say the Traffic Section is investigating the crash.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Part of Harrodsburg Road is blocked after a pedestrian was hit Tuesday morning in Lexington.

According to the city’s traffic ticker, the crash happened at the intersection of Harrodsburg Road and Blue Ash Drive. The ticker reports the pedestrian involved reportedly is a student.

The Lexington Fire Department says crews were called to the scene around 7:53 a.m. Fire officials say one person was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Drivers are being asked to avoid the area if possible while crews work the scene and traffic is impacted.
