Pedestrian hit by car

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car in Lexington.

According to police, the car was traveling on Red Mile Road at around 10:45 p.m. Thursday when the man ran out in front of it.

The driver told police she could not stop in time and hit the man.

He was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital suffering from critical injuries, according to police.

They say charges were not filed against the driver.
