Pedestrian dies after being hit by train

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) — One person has died after being hit by a train near Iron Works Pike.

Police say they received a call around 4:20 from Norfolk Southern Dispatch saying one of their trains had hit a pedestrian.

Officials say upon arriving they discovered the individual had died from their injuries.
