PD: Train & truck collide in Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- A truck and train collided in part of Grant County. It happened at U.S. 25 and Barnes Road.

Williamstown Police say as a truck driver was crossing the tracks, the lights went off and the crossing arm started to come down. The train ended up hitting his trailer.

Police say a passenger in the truck had minor injuries. Investigators say debris caused damage to another vehicle.

According to the Department of Transportation, the truck driver will face charges because he crossed the tracks in a place where tractor-trailers aren’t allowed.
