PD: Police investigate early morning robbery at convenience store

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police are investigating an early morning robbery at the Speedway gas station on New Circle Road and Meadow Lane.

Investigators say the robbery happened Monday around 2 a.m.

Police say the clerk was outside when a man approached and forced the clerk to go back inside and demanded money.

Officials say the suspect implied he had a weapon by keeping his hands in his pocket. He got cash and then took off.

No injuries were reported.
