PD: Criminals Target Two Lexington Gas Stations

Lexington Police said that criminals targeted two Marathon gas stations overnight.

Investigators said two men held up the store on North Broadway around 1:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses reportedly told police that one of the men was armed with a gun.

Police said that they found clothes behind the store that officers believed the men were wearing during the robbery.

There was also a reported burglary at the Marathon on East Main Street.

According to police, the front glass door was smashed in around 3:00 a.m.

The crime was reportedly caught on the store’s surveillance camera.
 
Police said the video showed a man loading up on cigarette cartons before leaving.

There are no arrests yet in either of the crimes.
