PD: Another Lexington Hibbett Sports store robbed at gunpoint

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Lexington police are trying to figure out if two armed robberies at Hibbett Sports stores are related.

Officers say the most recent one happened Tuesday afternoon on Richmond Road. Police say around 5:00, in broad daylight, three armed men went into the store. Investigators say employees were forced to go into a back storage room while the business and some customers were robbed.

Police say no one was hurt. They say the men took off in a dark-colored passenger car.

Meanwhile, police say a warrant is out for 22-year-old Deverious D. Jones of Lexington. Officers say he’s wanted in a robbery last Thursday at Hibbett Sports on Winchester Road.

Police say they’re investigating to figure out if Jones is connected with the Richmond Road hold up.
