Paws 4 the Cause

Paws 4 the Cause is a 501(c)3 nonprofit animal rescue. We are based in Lexington, but serve the entire Central Kentucky area. Paws 4 the Cause is dedicated to helping animals of all kinds.

Paws 4 the Cause is more than just a rescue. Besides saving and adopting animals, we also offer several programs to the community at no charge. Utilizing some of our rescued dogs, we make regular visits to several facilities around Lexington as part of our therapy dog program. Our Mutts 4 the Military program places specially trained shelter dogs with veterans suffering from PTSD and other mental health issues. The program provides companion, emotional support, and service dogs to recipients. We also help folks struggling to make ends meet with free pet food and sometimes even veterinary assistance to their beloved family pets.
