Paving begins on West Maxwell Street
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A traffic alert for drivers in Lexington: paving work begins Monday on West Maxwell Street.
City officials say crews will be working from Oliver Lewis Way to Plunkett Street through Friday, with alternating lane closures each day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Access to homes and businesses will remain open, but street parking will not be available during the project.
The paving follows a recent sanitary sewer replacement project along West Maxwell Street. Officials are reminding drivers to slow down and watch for workers and pedestrians in the area.
