Paul differs with Trump on how to make GOP more inclusive

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – U.S. Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky held a town hall meeting in Lexington on Wednesday. He’s a candidate for reelection in November, taking on Democrat Jim Gray, the Mayor of Lexington. Senator Paul was asked about GOP Presidential nominee Donald Trump in general and he talked about how the two differ on their approach to making the party more inclusive.

“I voiced some of my differences with him during the debate. Some of what I talk about for the party is I want a bigger, more inclusive party and I’m not saying he (Trump) doesn’t, but I have a different way I think of approaching it, of trying to welcome people into the party and I’ll continue to be that distinct voice, but I think nobody ever agrees completely with it,” Senator Paul said.
