Paintsville Lake master plan study input sought

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is in the process of updating its 1974 Master Plan for Paintsville Lake located in Staffordsville, Kentucky northwest of Paintsville.

A Master Plan is the document that conceptually establishes and guides the orderly development, administration, maintenance, preservation, enhancement, and management of all natural, cultural and recreational resources of a Corps water resource project.

Public input is critical in the Master Plan update process. USACE will be hosting a virtual workshop to provide the public with an opportunity to comment. The public comment period will be open until March 25, 2021.

The public is invited to join USACE for a virtual public meeting to provide input on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 beginning at 6:00 p.m. (EST).
