Owensboro native commits to Kentucky Football

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Gavin Wimsatt is a Kentucky Wildcat and is coming home to the Commonwealth after transferring from Rutgers.
The Owensboro native announced the news on his X (formerly known as Twitter) account on Tuesday with the caption “Let’s Work #BBN.”
At Rutgers in 2023, Wimsatt passed for over 1,700 yards, had nine touchdowns and threw eight interceptions.
With the transfer, the rising senior becomes the fifth quarterback on Kentucky’s roster for the upcoming season.
