House a total loss after overnight fire

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A house, ravaged by an overnight fire on Meadow Valley Road, is a total loss, according to the Lexington Fire Department.

The fire department tells ABC 36 News Now firefighters were called to a structure fire at 277 Meadow Valley Road, where they found a two-story home fully involved when crews arrived on scene.

Fire officials say neighboring homes were close by, and while there was minor damage to siding on nearby houses, crews were able to protect the surrounding properties.

According to the fire department, no one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not been released, but fire officials say it is under investigation.
