Outdoor warning siren test in Lexington postponed Wednesday
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Because of the threat of severe weather, Lexington Emergency Management has postponed its test of the outdoor warning sirens on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
The test may be rescheduled on a Wednesday later this month, according to emergency management.
The city’s outdoor siren system is designed to alert people who are outdoors, not inside.
