Orlando Shooting: Lexington business shows solidarity with sprinkles

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Donating a portion of proceeds from a sprinkled doughnut is nothing new for the “doughnut engineers” at North Lime Coffee and Donuts in Lexington.

In fact, it’s something they do each week but in the wake of the Orlando night club shootings, it was obvious how the business would get involved.

“It felt only right to work with him so half the proceeds from our sprinkle doughnut today are going to the Pulse Victims Fund,” says Kevin Moore, doughnut engineer at North Lime.

Customers got on board as well.

“I only came in to buy one doughnut but when I saw it I had to get a second one just to help support everything that’s going on down there,” says Jay Lewton.
