Open Enrollment For Uninsured Kentuckians Begins Tuesday

An estimated 640,000 Kentuckians who don’t have health insurance, can begin signing up for coverage online through the Kentucky Health Benefit Exchange on Tuesday, October 1st.

The open enrollment period runs through the end of this year.

People will have a variety of coverages to choose from to fit their medical needs and budget.

Kentucky has received more than $250 million from the federal government to set the program up.

This is the first phase of the Affordable Care Act, often referred to as Obamacare.
