One person injured by debris from broken telephone pole
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Fire Department says one person was taken to the hospital after being hit by debris from a broken telephone pole.
It happened around 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the 300 block of New Circle Road.
Officials say the pole had several transformers on top it when it broke.
Debris from the pole hit a pedestrian, according to firefighters.
They say the person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
It is unknown why the pole broke.
