One man dead after shooting in Frankfort
UPDATE: (9/4/19, 5:12 a.m.) – Frankfort Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead early Wednesday morning.
It happened at 12:28 a.m. at a parking garage off St. Clair Street and Catfish Alley.
Police say they originally responded to a ‘shots fired’ call , and when officers arrived on scene they found the man on the second floor of the parking garage with a gunshot wound and began CPR.
Investigators say Frankfort Fire and EMS transported the victim to Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
The Frankfort Police Department says they have identified a person of interest for further questioning.
The victim’s identity will not be released at this time until his family is notified.
Frankfort Police say this is still an on-going investigation.
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ)- One person is in the hospital after a shooting at a parking garage in Frankfort.
The State Journal reports that around 12:30 Wednesday morning, someone was shot at the parking garage between St. Claire Street and Catfish Alley.
The paper says one person was taken to the hospital and police are interviewing possible witnesses at the Brick Alley nightclub across the street.
Information on the victims condition or what led up to the shooting has not been released.
