One person hospitalized after incident at Kings Island’s Banshee roller coaster
MASON, Ohio (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A person was hospitalized Wednesday night after reportedly being struck by the Banshee roller coaster at Kings Island. According to a statement from the amusement park, the individual entered a restricted area near the ride around 8 p.m. and was believed to have been hit.
The person was transported to UC Medical Center, and their condition remains unknown at this time.
Kings Island officials stated, “Kings Island’s focus continues to be on the welfare of the guest and his family.” The park also announced that the Banshee ride will remain closed while park personnel and local officials conduct an investigation.
