One person arrested in Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police take one person into custody following a shooting in Lexington that left one person injured.

The shooting happened Thursday around 7 p.m. on Northside Drive.

Police say two people got into a fight and one of them pulled out a gun and started firing.

A bystander was hit by a bullet and driven to the hospital.

Police arrested 22-year-old Quayanta D. Hayes and charged him with three counts of wanton endangerment.

Police say the victim is expected to recover.
