One man in critical condition after Floyd County shooting

MARTIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday in Floyd County.

According to KSP Pikeville Post, a call came in Sept. 1 about a shots fired complaint in the Martin community. Troopers and investigators went to the scene on Turkey Creek where they found one man had been shot.

Investigators indicated Larry Hagans and Scott Ison were involved in an altercation. Both Hagans and Ison shot at each other, resulting in Hagans suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Hagans is listed in critical condition, according to the KSP.

Detective Justin Wireman is leading the investigation. He was assisted on scene by KSP personnel.

This investigation will be presented to the Floyd County Grand Jury. No charges have been filed at this time.
