UPDATE: KSP arrest man in McCreary County fatal shooting

UPDATE: (03/25/19) – Kentucky State Police say they’ve made an arrest in Saturday’s fatal shooting in McCreary County.

KSP arrested 29-year-old Jason T. Phillips, of Monticello, Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the shooting death of 36-year-old Jason Dishman.

Phillips is charged him with murder and is lodged in the Leslie County Detention Center.

KSP says their investigation is ongoing.

MCCREARY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a man is dead after a shooting in McCreary County.

According to KSP, the shooting happened at a home on West Highway 92 in the Stearns community of McCreary County.

KSP says 36 year old Jason Dishman was shot during a confrontation. He was taken to the Wayne County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play is suspected and no arrests have been made.

State police say Dishman’s body has been taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.
