One Killed, Two Injured in Three-Vehicle Crash
HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — One person was killed and two others were injured in a three-vehicle collision Friday afternoon in Harlan County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Troopers were called around 12:29 p.m. on Feb. 20, 2026, to a crash in the Hiram community. Troopers responded along with Lifeguard EMS and the Harlan County Rescue Squad. KSP detectives also responded and began a reconstruction of the collision.
Police said one driver was flown to Johnson City Medical Center with serious injuries. The driver of a second vehicle was transported by ambulance to Harlan ARH for treatment.
The operator of a third vehicle was flown to Harlan ARH with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries, police said. The victim was identified as Ashley Toll, 45, of Baxter.
The crash remains under investigation.
