One killed, one critically injured in Letcher County collision

LINEFORK, Ky. (WTVQ) – One driver was killed and another critically injured in a collision on Highway 7 South in the Linefork community of Letcher County.

State Police say Wednesday evening, the car 25-year old Nathan Cole, of Linefork, was driving crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a pickup truck.

Cole died at the scene, according to KSP.

The other driver, 52-year old David Mark Holbrook, of Whitesburg, was taken to Pikeville Medical Center and later transferred to U.K. Hospital in Lexington where he was listed in critical condition.
