One killed in Menifee County accident

MENIFEE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Salt Lick man was killed in a single-vehicle accident on Sunday in Menifee County.

Kentucky State Police say 78-year-old Franklin Highley was driving his pickup truck on KY36 west of Frenchburg when he lost control.

Troopers say the truck went off the roadway and hit a concrete drain.

The Bath County coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

State police say Highley was not wearing a seat belt.

The accident is under investigation.
