One killed in accident in Adair County

ADAIR COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A truck flips in Adair County, killing the driver.

Kentucky State Police say 85-year-old Eldridge Hoover, of Columbia, was driving his truck on Fairplay Road on Sunday morning, when he dropped off the right shoulder, overturned, hit a utility pole and landed in a creek.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say Hoover was wearing a seat belt.
