One Injured In Hit-And-Run Accident
One person was taken to the hospital following a hit-and-run accident in Lexington Tuesday.
Police said a driver in an SUV crossed into the opposite lane on Georgetown Road at around 4 a.m. and slammed into a car.
Police said the driver of the SUV kept going, parked the vehicle on Citation Boulevard then got out and ran.
The passenger of the other vehicle had to be cut out of the car and was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to police.
The driver was treated at the scene.
Police are still searching for the driver of the SUV
