One injured in crash after tire blows out on highway

 CASEY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police say one person was taken to the hospital after hitting a car whose tire blew out on KY 906.

KSP says that on December 31st just before 2:30 p.m., 34-year-old Anthony Smith was driving a 1998 Mazda pickup in the southbound lane of KY 906. Smith’s tire blew out, causing his truck to be pulled into the northbound lane into the path of a 2004 Ford pickup being driven by 53-year-old Brenda Ellis.

Troopers say Ellis was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Smith was not hurt. They say both Ellis and Smith were wearing seat belts.
