One dead, one injured in Boyle County two vehicle crash

BOYLE COUNTY, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle crash that occurred in Boyle County, leaving one person dead and another injured.

According to KSP, troopers responded to Shakertown Road for a collision involving two vehicles. Investigators say a man identified as Hector Sanchez was driving south on Shakertown Road when two wheels of his vehicle left the roadway.

Authorities say Sanchez attempted to regain control and re-enter the roadway, but crossed into the northbound lane, where his vehicle collided with a pickup truck.

The pickup was being driven northbound by Ernest Robinson.

KSP says Sanchez was fatally injured in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Robinson was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
