One dead, another injured in Shelby Co. shooting

SHELBY COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- State Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and another injured in Waddy on Wednesday.

Investigators say they were called out to a home on Bardstown Trail around 4 a.m. for a shooting.

When Shelby County deputies arrived, a man was laying on the ground outside of the home.

They say he was taken to the hospital and later released.

After entering the home, they say they found 53-year-old William Riddell. Riddell was pronounced dead at the scene by the Shelby County coroner.

During investigation, KSP was able to develop a suspect. They say they located 41-year-old Brian Myers on Bluegrass Parkway.

Myers was charged with murder.
