One Dead After Jackson County Wreck

A man is dead after a Sunday night crash.

Kentucky State Police said the man wasn’t wearing a seat belt when he crashed into a wall on southbound US-421 between McKee and Gray Hawk around 10:45.

Troopers said he was ejected from the car, and that it caught fire.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers are still investigating the accident, but say it didn’t look like the man tried to stop before crashing.

The victim’s name is being withheld until next of kin are notified.
