One charged with murder after Spencer Co. shooting

TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a Taylorsville woman has been charged with murder after a shooting in Spencer County on Sunday that killed a man.

Officers say they went to Clinton Court at around 6:00 p.m. after receiving a call about the shooting.

When they arrived, police say they found Mark Bennett, 51, dead from a gunshot wound.

40-year-old Kandy Bennett was charged with murder in the case.

No information on what led to the shooting has been released at this time.
