One arrested after robbery at Lexington Rite Aid
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A suspect didn’t get too far after robbing a Rite Aid on Winchester Road.
Police say it happened at around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
According to officers, 53-year-old Michael Cotton walked into the store and demanded cash and pills from the clerks. Police say Cotton threatened the clerks with force if they didn’t give him what he asked for.
Once the clerks gave up the cash and pills, investigators say Cotton ran towards the intersection of New Circle Road and Winchester Road.
Police say, a short while later, he was spotted and arrested.
