Oldham County jail escapee is arrested

WADDY, Ky. (WTVQ) – An Oldham County jail escapee has been arrested.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s office, Michael Chadwell was arrested Monday evening in Waddy.

They say Chadwell escaped from the Oldham County jail on August 3, 2017, while on a work detail.

Deputies report he was caught after running away from a house and into the woods on Waddy Drive.  A Shelby County K-9 tracked Chadwell, and he was taken into custody without incident.

He was previously being held in jail on charges of Robbery in the first degree.
